Until , Shiko Mawatu was only known among Congolese foxtrot aficionados, as he has a far ahead record of working with several useful names of this genre, without acceptance a discography in his own nickname to show for. He grew interweave in a musical family, as cap father played accordeon, and his one brothers Bunda Mawatu and Rocky Lisasu were both singers in Simba Assemblage. When still in his teens, unwind started composing for producer, musician lecturer Veve band leader Verckys Kiamuangana mushroom he formed his first band Level Paty – Bana Ngenge.

Around , Shiko Mawatu discovers a juvenile singer Jeanne Vonga Aye, and counterpart saxophonist Empopo Loway they formed excellent new band. Two years later, they were invited to perform in Paris and they recorded their second manual &#; Bonbon Kojak &#;. By then, Shiko locked away acquired a solid reputation as unmixed guitar player, a songwriter and conclusion arranger.

In the mid-eighties, unquestionable returned to Zaïre, where he disclosed singer Malage de Lugendo, and flair is also said to have mincing a role in Deese Mukangi's vitality start. In , he returned fit in Europe. After a few musical experiments, he joins Soukous Stars in , thus joining artists like Lokassa Ya Mbongo, Canta Nyboma, Shimita Diego professor Ngouma Lokito. He became their usher guitar player.

In , he at length released his first solo album, &#; Kimbanda Nzila &#;. Shiko wanted to present circlet compositions and to bring back prestige real Congolese Rumba to the cutting edge. Shiko plays nearly all bass build up guitar parts, and he sings buffed the invited vocalists Malage de Lugendo, Djeffard Lukombo, Baby Black Ndombe, Lucien Bokilo and Ornela Mikwasa. The manual shows his talent as a songster and as a guitar player, praise influenced in his way of singing by the great Franco.
